Due to the current Holiday event, this is probably the best time to check it out. If you want to familiarize yourself with the franchise before this comes out, Granblue Fantasy is fully localized in English. If you're not familiar with the Granblue Fantasy IP, it's based on a successful mobile game by Cygames, which is arguably one of the best mobile JRPGs on the market. If you want to see more, you can enjoy the first teaser trailer, a second video, a batch of screenshots, and the impressive tech being used for the clouds. Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link is scheduled to release in Japan in 2018, exclusively for PS4. Of course, keep in mind that (as the big red text says) this is still under development and work-in-progress. Personally, that's much more than what I expected from Granblue Fes. Unfortunately, the quality of the clip isn't the best, since it's recorded from Nico Nico, and you know just how bad Nico Nico is, but for now, this is what we get. Of course, this is easily explained by the fact that PlatinumGames is involved in the project. Considering that Cygames is a relative newcomer at console development, and all of its biggest projects are mobile games, this is massively impressive. The game looks absolutely amazing, with really fast action gameplay. We get some fighting against small monsters, followed by a larger boss. It showcased a peaceful look at a village and then moved on to battle gameplay, featuring familiar characters like Katalina, Rackham, Percival, and Io. Today, during a livestream from the GranBlue Fes 2017 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba near Tokyo, Cygames showcased the first gameplay of Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link. ![]()
